Are the officers armed?
Thai law restricts firearm carry by foreign-credentialled CPOs. Officers carry permitted defensive equipment and rely on training, advance work, and protective driving.
What does close protection cost?
A single low-profile CPO runs around USD 850 per day, all-in. A two-officer team around USD 1,600. Full residential team typically USD 3,500–6,000 per day.
Can you arrange protection at short notice?
Yes — a single officer can usually be on station within twenty-four hours in Bangkok. Phuket and Samui need forty-eight hours. Full teams need a week.
How discreet is this — will hotels know?
Hotels are notified only if the brief requires it. Otherwise the CPO checks in as a guest and operates invisibly. Discretion is the default, not an upgrade.
