The Lara difference

Why this is rarely done well.

Most event bartenders in Thailand learned the trade at high-volume nightlife venues — fast hands, generic menu, no idea how to stir a Negroni. The dozen mixologists who came up through Mandarin, Banyan Tree, and the Bamboo Bar work salaried shifts and rarely free-lance without an introduction.

Lara works with three Bangkok bar consultancies and four Phuket-based mixologists she has placed personally for years. Each one is hotel-bar trained, builds the menu with you in advance, and arrives with a fully kitted mobile bar — no need to source a single bottle yourself.

The host with sixty guests on a rooftop who wants the cocktail talked about for a year. The villa party where the bar is the room. The brand launch where the headline drink needs to land in twenty hands at once and taste identical.

How it works

One message. Then arrive.

  1. Step 01

    Tell Lara

Event size, vibe, headline spirits, and any guest preferences. Two weeks ahead is comfortable for menu design, less for a standard bar.

  2. Step 02

    Menu and team confirmed

Mixologist drafts a three-to-five drink menu, sends to you for sign-off. Bar team and bottle list locked one week before the event.

  3. Step 03

    Bar arrives built

Team arrives two hours early, builds the bar, pre-batches the headline drinks, sets garnishes. First cocktail in hand the minute your door opens.

Common questions

The quiet answers.

  • What does a private bar cost?

A two-bartender mobile bar for sixty guests runs USD 1,800–3,200 per event, all-in: team, glassware, ice, garnishes, and pack-out. Top-shelf spirits billed at cost. Lara confirms before placement.

  • Do you supply the alcohol or do I?

Either works. Lara’s team can source through licensed wholesale channels at trade pricing, or build the menu around bottles you already have. Most clients prefer the source-it-for-me option.

  • Can the bar travel to a villa or yacht?

Yes. The full mobile bar packs into three flight cases and sets up on any flat surface — villa terrace, yacht foredeck, rooftop, beach. Setup is forty minutes from the cases hitting the floor.

  • How big a guest count can two bartenders handle?

A two-bartender bar comfortably serves up to eighty guests across a four-hour event with pre-batched headline drinks. Larger events get a third bartender or a second pop-up station.
