The Lara difference

Why this is rarely done well.

Most Bangkok operators do not own a top-spec V-Class. They will offer a Hiace Commuter at half the price and call it the same thing. The seat layout, the cabin acoustics, and the door for an elderly parent are different.

  • How many fit comfortably with luggage?

    Eight adults with eight large suitcases is the comfortable maximum in the V-Class. Ten adults fit but lose the walnut table layout. For ten with full luggage Lara will quote a second van or a Hiace Commuter.

  • Why a V-Class instead of a Hiace Commuter?

    The Hiace is two-thirds the price and seats the same headcount, but the captain's-chair layout, the cabin insulation and the side step-in are visibly different. Lara prices both honestly and the choice is yours.

  • Can you do convoy of two for fifteen-plus?

    Yes — two V-Class vans run nose-to-tail, same operator, same chauffeur briefing. Common for bachelor weekends and corporate offsites of twelve to sixteen. Add roughly the day rate for the second van.

  • What does it cost?

    Bangkok hotel-to-villa runs from THB 6,500; a full day with the chauffeur on call from THB 9,500. Convoy of two roughly doubles the figure. Lara confirms exact pricing before booking.
