The Lara difference
Why this is rarely done well.
Michelin chefs do not freelance. Their restaurants need them on service every night. The handful of in-villa nights they accept each year are filled through personal relationships with concierges who can guarantee the booking will not become a story.
Lara has direct contact with three Bangkok one- and two-star kitchens and two Phuket houses. She names the chef, the brigade, the sommelier and the wine pairing on one quote. The chef arrives forty-eight hours ahead to brief the kitchen and source from his own suppliers.
The host bringing eight to twelve guests to his villa for a milestone dinner. The CEO running a closed off-site that needs one untouchable evening. The host who wants Michelin without leaving the gate of his own compound.
How it works
One message. Then arrive.
Step 01
Tell Lara
Date, villa address, headcount, dietary notes, chef preference if any. Ten to twenty-one days lead time for the chef’s diary.
Step 02
Lara confirms the night
Specific chef, brigade list, sommelier, wine flight and tasting menu. Total cost locked before you commit.
Step 03
Dinner is served
Brigade arrives in the afternoon, sommelier pours the welcome flight at sunset, twelve courses through the evening, brigade clears before midnight.
Common questions
The quiet answers.
What does a Michelin in-villa dinner actually cost?
All-in with the chef, brigade, sommelier, service team and wine flight: USD 6,500–9,500 for a six-guest tasting; USD 14,000–24,000 for twelve to fourteen with a master sommelier and a rare-vintage flight.
Can the chef accommodate dietary restrictions?
Yes — the menu is designed to your table. Allergies, vegan courses, no-shellfish or kosher are confirmed in writing two weeks before the dinner. The chef calls the host directly if anything needs negotiating.
Can this be combined with our villa stay?
Yes — this is the most-requested add-on across every Lara villa booking. One message books the villa and the dinner together, no double-coordination.
Will the chef be named in writing?
Always. Lara will not quote a generic 'Michelin-trained’ chef — the actual named chef from the actual named restaurant is on the contract or the booking does not proceed.
