The Lara difference
Why this is rarely done well.
Wat Pho and the Grand Palace open to twenty thousand visitors a day. Pre-opening access requires written approval from each temple’s abbot office and a vetted scholar registered with the Department of Fine Arts. No concierge desk can arrange this on a phone call.
Lara works with two scholars — one Oxford-trained, one a former curator at Bangkok National Museum. She holds standing pre-opening permissions at Wat Pho and Wat Arun and books Grand Palace dawn slots eight weeks ahead. The morning is paced to your guests, not a tour script.
The dealmaker whose family is in Bangkok for two days and will not queue. The host bringing visiting board members who deserve more than a hotel concierge tour. The repeat guest who has seen the temples once and now wants the rooms behind the rope.
